SB Nation NFL Mock Draft Has Cardinals Taking Ohio State DE Nick Bosa in Round One

The NFL Draft is still 66 days away, but already there’s plenty of mock drafts and projections as to what teams are going to do once Roger Goodell takes the platform in Nashville, Tennessee and gets booed as he does every year.

The Cards are sitting at number one in the first round, and will look to improve the team to try and make a run at the NFC West Title in 2019.

As far as projections go, SB Nation today released their first Mock Draft for April’s big event, and they have the Cards going Defensive end in the first round, taking Ohio State rusher Nick Bosa.

The Cardinals have plenty of work to do under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury. So much so, it’s probably easier to point out what Arizona doesn’t need to fix this offseason. In an ideal situation, the Cardinals could trade down and try to fix both lines. But the value of the first pick is lesser this year since teams might not jump to No. 1 for a quarterback. Because of that, holding there and taking Bosa makes the most sense. But after that, the Cardinals need to fix one of the NFL’s worst rosters — starting with protecting franchise quarterback Josh Rosen.
