The Arizona Cardinals didn’t look the part earlier in the year, but with four wins in their last five games, they suddenly have a realistic shot at the playoffs. In fact, if everything went their way, they might even have a crack at their division. For either to pan out, however, the Cards almost certainly have to win out. That process begins with this week’s trip to Tennessee to take on the Titans, who have not been an easy out for anyone in 2013.
While eliminated from playoff contention, the Titans still boast a strong pass defense and an offense that, while fairly inconsistent, still has enough talent to hurt you if you’re not careful. Arizona has to have the leg up here, even on the road, though. Tennessee is down to their backup quarterback and their running game has been inconsistent all season. Working in their favor though, potentially, is the loss of safety Tyrann Mathieu. Arizona’s feisty defense lost it’s spark plug and if they can’t make up for it, they could possibly be upset in week 15.
Tennessee’s season is in coast mode, so it makes sense fans can check this game out cheaply this week. But $50? For a match up that includes a potential playoff team? That’s beyond a value buy. Add in the ridiculously low get-in price of just $4 and it’s almost criminal.
Titans tickets are understandably down over 49% this week, but it’s at least mildly surprising that Cardinals tickets are also down over 55% with Arizona still very much in the thick of the NFC playoff chase.
While the inter-conference battle has no real meaning other than for Arizona’s playoff hopes, there’s no denying that an NFL game can be seen live for just $4. Yes, even for the nosebleeds, that’s a heck of a deal to catch live NFL action. And when it involves studs like Chris Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald, it’s even sweeter.
