Birth of Child or Game? Kolb May Have a Tough Call to Make

Kevin Kolb may have a huge choice to make this season between family and football according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.

Kolb’s wife Whitney is 38 weeks pregnant with the couple’s third daughter and her official due date is October 4-the same day Kolb is scheduled to play against the Rams in St. Louis on Thursday Night Football. Kolb is “pretty sure” he would choose to attend the birth of his daughter rather than play but admits he would prefer not to have to make any choice. The perfect scenario, he said, is for the baby to be born after team meetings on Monday, the day before the players have a day off.

Whitney visited the doctor on Friday, Kolb said, and was told nothing was imminent. Of course, anyone who has had children knows that means nothing.
