The Cardinals have added a solid tight end to the roster, as reports say the team has inked former Ravens tight end Todd Heap to a two-year deal. Heap, a product of Arizona State, had been visiting with the Jets on Sunday.
Baltimore released Heap in a series of veteran cuts last week in order to free up salary cap room under the new labor agreement. National Football Post reports that the signing of Heap actually happened while he was talking to Rex Ryan and the Jets, meaning that it must have been some type of deal to get him out to the desert.
