Latest Has Cards Offering CB Rodgers-Cromartie for QB Kolb

Since just about the moment the season ended, one quarterback that has been on the Cardinals radar has been that of Eagles thrower Kevin Kolb. While other names have been bantered about such as Donovan McNabb and even Kyle Orton, it seems more and more like Arizona is in a position to offer a deal for Kolb, a guy who has been on his way out of Philly since Michael Vick rose back to superstar status last season.

The latest rumor has the Cardinals offering one of their better players in a straight up deal for who would be the starting QB. Mike Jurecki of XTRA910 in Arizona reports “Kevin Kolb is the guy. The Cardinals are prepared to offer Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie straight up according to a source”

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was a first-round pick by the Cards back in 2008 (16th overall), and he had 50 tackles and 6 interceptions in the 09 regular season and was selected as a reserve to the 2010 Pro Bowl.

Last season Kolb played in 7 games, starting five, including the season opener, a loss to the Packers. He threw for 1197 yards last season, 7 touchdowns and 7 picks. No question he would be handed the starting job for Arizona should the deal go through when the lockout ends.
