Getting Orton Over Kolb the Smart, and Right Move for Cardinals

The Cardinals have a very tough decision on their hands as the 2011 season gets near (that is if there is one), and that is what QB should they target via trade – Philly’s Kevin Kolb or the Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton.

Many have felt that the Cards have been high on Eagles backup Kolb, but now it seems that the team has somewhat soured on the idea of taking him and may be focused in on Orton, who the Broncos seem willing to ship for the right price.

The price for Kolb may have to be a first round pick, while for Orton the team may only have to ship maybe a second and a third or something along those lines.

Orton last season threw for 3653 yards with 20 touchdowns and 9 picks for the Broncos, but the team seems more bent on giving Tim Tebow, last years first-round pick, a long look at training camp.

Arizona should do what they can to get Orton, he has shown he can win in both Chicago and Denver, and he is going to cost a ton less than Kolb, who has still yet to prove he can win in this league week in and week out.
