Cardinals Name Mike Miller Offensive Coordinator

The Cardinals have filled their offensive coordinator vacancy by promoting passing game coordinator Mike Miller. Miller has been with the Cardinals since the 2007 season, coaching the team’s wide receivers before being promoted to passing game coordinator in 2009. In addition to helping devise the team’s offensive game-plan, Miller was always expected to take over play-calling duties from head coach Ken Whisenhunt in 2011, so today’s promotion does not come as a surprise.

“I am excited about where we are going as an offense,” Miller told Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com. “I foresee things still working very similarly to what they have been, working closely with (offensive line coach) Russ (Grimm) and the staff. There will be a lot of input and we will work hard to turn this around.” The Cardinals ranked 31st offensively in 2010, by far that unit’s lowest ranking of the Whisenhunt era.
