OPEN GAME THREAD: Half-Time

The Cardinals trail the 49ers 21-6 at the half way point.  San Francisco has been dominating the Cardinals on both sides of the ball.  Offensively, Arizona can’t get anything going at all.  On the other hand, the Niners are basically having their way in all aspects of the game.

What’s Going Wrong:

1.  Cards are getting dominated physically.  The Arizona offensive line is getting tossed around.  Levi Brown is absolutely pathetic.  In addition, Deuce Lutui has been worse than usual.  Defensively, the guys up front are getting destroyed by the Niners’ offensive line, which is allowing San Francsico to run all over the Cards.

2.  Arizona can’t get a pass rush.  Only Joey Porter came close on the first 49ers drive of the game.  Since then, the Cardinals haven’t troubled Smith at all.

3.  Cards can’t run the ball.  This is linked to Arizona getting physically dominated.  Hightower and Wells aren’t making any headway at all.

4.  Everything.  This team just can’t put anything together.  They failed to capitalize on a trip to the redzone in the second quarter when Fitzgerald dropped a touchdown pass when he went to the ground.  In addition, after Mike Adams intercepted a tipped pass of the hands of Michael Crabtree with1:30 left in the half, the Cards’ offense quickly went three and out in a show of futility.  Arizona has a lot of work to do to make up a 15-point deficit.

Love the site, love the dedication. Tonight’s game was heartbreaking. This team has completely quit and players we own jerseys of have cashed in their chips for this season. No one believes in the offense and the defense can’t stop anyone, especially with 7 DBs in there on 3rd down.

The Offenseive line is weak so you run your offense out of the shot gun to buy extra time any high school coach could make that call. The play calling was the worst I have ever seen in the NFL. The play calling almost suggested a rigged game and if it was I hope the coach and every one else envolved got payed a truck load of money. Maybe they can buy a new team because the one they have now is terrible. QB Anderson should be fired his best days are behind him he stairs down his receivers and cant think under presure. He showed that after the game in the press confreness. Second the Defensive cordinator should be fired 8 men in the box and cant stop the run. They should have put 9 in the box and played man zone def.
