Since Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks, Coach Whisenhunt has been busy defending his team’s level of effort and commitment to the media. When asked whether his team quit against Seattle, Whisenhunt had the following to say:
Not in the fourth quarter. If you want to talk about effort look at the last field goal, look at that effort on the goal line. The guys didn’t quit. That is not even a question. I didn’t see it.
Derek Anderson voiced an opinion similar to that of his head coach’s when asked about the amount of effort put on against the Seahawks:
I never question the effor. I think at times we played poorly and didn’t do our assignments, but I never question the effort of guys in this locker room.
Finally, veteran linebacker Gerald Hayes also expressed satisfaction with the Cardinals’ effort.
I have to watch the film, but from seeing out there on the field, I thought the effort was pretty good. Like I said, we didn’t make enough plays on our side of the ball.
What did you, the Cardinals Gab readers, see out of Arizona this past Sunday. Answer via the poll that asks: Have a Majority of the Cardinals Given Up on this Season?
While you’re at it, Do You Have Confidence in Whisenhunt’s Leadership?
