Mad Max and the Cards Win a Shocker, 30-20

Max Hall (17/27, 168 yards, INT) and the Cardinals shocked the New Orleans Saints in one of the strangest and most entertaining games of the season.

The Cardinals put up 30 points without scoring a passing or rushing touchdown.  Levi Brown, the Cardinals’ left tackle however, did get his first career touchdown by recovering a Max Hall fumble at the goal line, which Brown scooped up and stumbled into the endzone.

Greg Toler, Paris Lenon, and DRC all picked off Drew Brees, with Rodgers-Cromartie’s pick-six icing the game for the Cards.  In addition, Kerry Rhodes returned a fumble for a touchdown for the second week in a row, the first Cardinal to do so in franchise history.

After getting beat around for 108 points in three weeks, the Cardinals’ defense came up huge time and again this week.  The Cards’ stand at 3-2 heading into their Week 6 bye.

More on this game tomorrow.
