Here’s the poll for Week 3.  After you click your pick and check out the interesting stats, read the Week 3 preview below to get ready for the game against the Raiders this weekend.

What’s the Cardinals’ biggest concern at this point in the season?

Stats Courtesy of Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic

  • The past three games [dating back to the 2009 Divisional Playoff Game] include two in which running back Tim Hightower delivered two of the 12 longest runs in team history – and the Cardinals lost those two games by a total of 65 points.  Hightower had a 70-yard touchdown on the first play against the Saints in the playoffs last season. The Cardinals ended up losing 45-14.  On Sunday in Atlanta, Hightower scored from 80 yards to pull the Cardinals to within 10-7 in second quarter.  The Cardinals lost 41-7.
  • Atlanta’s 33 first downs were one shy of the record for a Cardinals opponent.  The Falcons gained eight of them by penalty, a record for a Cardinals opponent – by a wide margin.  The previous record was five, and that had been done 15 times.
  • The Cardinals did not lose consecutive games in the 2009 season[, a trend that will be tested this week].
  • With 10 receptions through the first two games, WR Larry Fitzgerald has 533 receptions for his career.  He needs three receptions this week against the Raiders to reach 536 and move into second place on the Cardinals’ franchise career list behind Anquan Boldin (586).
