Offensive guard Reggie Wells has been traded to the Eagles for an undisclosed draft pick, though it’s presumed to be a 2011 sixth-round pick.
With this move, the second trade with the Eagles in a week, Deuce Lutui will reclaim his starting job after reporting to camp late, weighing nearly 400 lbs. It’s not exacly clear how much Lutui weighs at this point, but obviously he’s fit enough to take the starting job away from Wells.
Wells concludes his 7-year career with Arizona after being selected by the Cardinals in the 6th round of the 2003 draft. Once the Cardinals signed offensive linemen Rex Hadnot and Alan Faneca in the off-season, it seemed that at least one lineman wouldn’t make it to the regular season.
