Leinart Doesn’t Talk to Media; Says Communication Issues with PR the Cause

Some felt that Matt Leinart was pulling a no-show as he didn’t talk to the media after the game Saturday night, but he says it was a miscommunication between he and the PR staff:

Cardinals starting quarterback Matt Leinart apologized for not being available for reporters after Saturday night’s game against Houston, saying it was a result of miscommunication with the media relations staff. Leinart said he initially thought he would be asked to appear in the post-game press conference, but was never asked. The media relations staff assumed Leinart knew he would be needed. Leinart finished the game going 6-7 for 49 yards, but those stats are a bit misleading after his throws were short, he mishandled a hand-off to Tim Hightower that lead to a fumble, and he was sacked twice.
