Training Camp Begins Tomorrow

Just a friendly reminder that training camp begins for the Cardinals tomorrow (7/30) in Flagstaff.  It’s the final step before the preseason begins in earnest and there are plenty of issues to sort out.  Here are just a few:

1.  Gerald Hayes’ recovery from back surgery and the situation at ILB.

2. Matt Leinart’s progression and whether he will fend off Derek Anderson.

3. Greg Toler’s ability to step forward as the clear # 2 corner back.

4. Finding the starting five on the offensive line.

Let’s hope these areas get resolved in a positive way sooner rather than later.  On the eve of training camp, with the previously mentioned issues and many more on his mind, Coach Whisenhunt had the following to say:

[Winning four of six postseason games in the past two seasons] establishes a belief that, no matter what division you play in, you are a pretty good team.  It’s not so much about people not picking us to win our division but about who we are and what we believe we can do.  Our guys believe we can win.  What matters is how we play together.”

With that in mind, tomorrow the 2010 Regular Season gets a little closer, so let’s go!
