Neil Rackers Signs 2-Year Deal with Texans

ESPN’s Adam Schefter was the first to report that Neil Rackers signed a two-year deal with the Houston Texans on Monday night.   The contract is worth $4.1 million, but gives the former Cardinal just $350,000 in guaranteed money.  Rackers was scheduled to meet with Jay Feely’s old team, the Jets, but Houston fished Rackers out of the free agency pool first.

Houston reportedly plans to bring Rackers and Kris Brown to training camp this summer.  It’s been a while since Rackers has had to compete for his job.

Rackers no doubt missed some important kicks, but he was a good Cardinal.  Hopefully, he’ll find success with Houston.
