Boldin and Hayes Miss Practice; Should Be Able to Go Thursday

PFT.com reports that the Cards are getting some injured players back tomorrow, or at least should get those players back, one being WR Anquan Boldin:

Two Arizona Cardinals starters sat out practice again today, but there seems to be some optimism that they can play Saturday against the Saints.

Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin and linebacker Gerald Hayes both missed Wednesday’s practice, but Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt expressed optimism that both will be on the field for Thursday’s practice.

Hayes is wearing a protective boot because of an ankle injury he suffered during Sunday’s win over the Green Bay Packers. If he can’t go, Monty Beisel would start in his place.

Boldin suffered knee and ankle injuries in the regular-season loss to the Packers and missed the playoff rematch. The Cardinals have played very well without Boldin over the last couple of years, going 6-1 in games he missed compared to 17-13 in games he played. That’s in large part attributable to Steve Breaston, who will start against the Saints if Boldin can’t go.
