Cardinals Sign FB Reagan Maui’a

Pro Football Weekly reports the Cards have inked FB Reagan Maui’a

The Cardinals filled out their backfield today, signing FB Reagan Maui’a to a one-year contract, according to a team press release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The team was in need of another fullback after Justin Green was placed on the injured reserve with a knee injury.

The 6-foot, 260-pound Maui’a was a sixth-round selection by the Dolphins out of Hawaii in the 2007 NFL draft. He made an impact as a rookie, starting nine of 16 games in which he appeared, boasting four carries for five yards.

Maui’a started two games last season for the Bengals and was inactive for two others after the team claimed him off waivers from the Dolphins on Sept. 3. He was placed on the I.R. by the Bengals on Oct. 24. He will wear jersey number 45.
