Today the Arizona Republic reports that any sort of talks of an extension for wide out Anquan Boldin is at least a few weeks away, meaning it would be well into training camp:
The Cardinals are at least several weeks away from having substantive talks with the agent for receiver Anquan Boldin about a contract extension, General Manager Rod Graves said. Graves declined to discuss specifics, but it’s known he and Tom Condon, Boldin’s new agent, had preliminary talks this spring. Graves traditionally has refrained from negotiating contract extensions until the regular season is well under way. By doing that, he can see the makeup of the final roster and take care of personnel moves necessitated by injuries.
