Safety Wilson Not Worried About Final Year of Contract

NFL/SUPER
The Cards have already had to deal with enough problems this offseason with Anquan Boldin and now it seems Darnell Dockett. It was nice to see veteran Adrian Wilson on the field Friday and not talking about the one thing that others all seem to want to talk about – his contract.

Wilson is entering the final year of his deal, but he’s already said that he is not going to sit back and worry about his future as a Cardinal. “I’m enjoying my family and I’m enjoying being here with the guys,” he said in today’s Arizona Republic. “You got to let some of that petty stuff be petty stuff. You got to be in positive in situations.”

He’s a leader on this team, and it’s nice to have at least one veteran player on this squad not balking about wanting out, or wanting more money. Others should follow his example.
