Last season the Cowboys were the focus of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” – a show that shows the life of a team in training camp. Now there is a rumor that the Cardinals, the NFC Champs, may be that team of focus in 2009. Here is the report from Kent Somers from The Arizona Republic
I heard a rumor at the NFL owners meetings that the Cardinals were one of the teams under consideration to appear on HBO’s Hard Knocks, the show that chronicles one team through training camp.
That was news to Cardinals officials, apparently. Team President Michael Bidwill declined comment about it, and coach Ken Whisenhunt was unaware of any talks taking place.
Whisenhunt hadn’t thought the possibility through, but it didn’t sound as if he was crazy about the idea. He’s a big believer in training camp, both from the work players put in and the chemistry that’s formed, and he would be cautious about anything that changes the routine of camp.
