ESPN’s John Clayton reports that he believes Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin is still likely to be traded, despite Kurt Warner re-signing with the Cards.

Clayton thinks that the Eagles and Giants are the most likely trading partners. The Eagles have $40.5 million of cap room and twelve draft choices, including two first-round picks. The Giants, on the other hand, have four defensive linemen making over $4 million a year. Clayton suspects that Giants DL Osi Umenyiora could be used as trade bait to entice the Cardinals into trading Boldin.

The Cardinals also have some incentive to part with Boldin as the Cards are very deep at WR. They have Fitzgerald, of course, but Steve Breaston (77 receptions, 1,003 yards, and three touchdowns in 2008) has shown that he can step in as a very productive number two receiver. Early Doucet and Jerheme Ubran are also very capable third and fourth receivers.
