Boldin and Arrington Both Miss Thursday’s Session

Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin missed practice for a second straight day Thursday with a shoulder injury, putting his availability for Sunday’s matchup against the New England Patriots in doubt.

Boldin received his third career Pro Bowl selection earlier in the week and leads the NFC with 89 catches to go along with 1,038 yards and 11 TDs over 12 games this season. The sixth-year pro missed two games earlier this season after taking a vicious hit from Jets safety Eric Smith in a Week 4 loss in New York. Boldin required surgery for a fractured facial bone after the helmet-to-helmet hit.

Running back J.J. Arrington has also sat out both practice sessions this week while dealing with a knee injury. In 10 games this season, the fourth-year pro has 178 yards rushing and one score while catching 27 balls out of the backfield for 237 yards and an additional score.

Defensive end Travis LaBoy (ankle) was the only other Cardinal to miss both
practices, while linebacker Clark Haggans has been ruled out with a foot
injury.
