The Cards have released running back Marcel Shipp, a player that has been with the team since the 2002 season. He, along with safety Adrian Wilson, had been with the team longer than any other player on the roster. Last season he played in all 16 games, rushing for 41 yards on just 15 carries. In his five-years with the team, he ran for 2197 yards on 605 carries with 11 TD’s. His best season was his first, as he ran for 834 yards on 188 carries with six TD’s. His production has gone downhill the last two years, as he’s rushed for just 82 yards combined in the last two years on 32 carries.
