The Arizona Republic is reporting that nose tackle Alan Branch appears to have been demoted all the way to third-string. He was a second-round pick last season, and the team even traded a fourth-round pick to get him. Branch played in 11 games last season, only putting up nine tackles. Right now starter Gabe Watson is out with a fractured kneecap, but it was veteran Bryan Robinson, not Branch, running with the first team as training camp opened. It remains to be seen how long Branch may remain in the Cards doghouse.
