Cards Reach Deal with 7th Round Pick Tackle Keith

The Cards have reached a deal tackle Brandon Keith, a seventh-round pick in the 2008 draft.  It’s aKeith three-year deal. Keith had been arrested after an incident and he recently pleaded guilty to a couple of charges arising from the situation.  He played his college ball at Northern Iowa, and here is the 2007 tidbit on his season on their website:

2007: Started 11 games at right tackle … named to the Associated Press All-America third team … named an honorable mention All-American by The Sports Network … helped guide the Panthers to a perfect 11-0 regular season and a No. 1 national ranking for six weeks … the Panthers’ rush offense (227.38 yards/game) ranked No. 2 in the Gateway and No. 15 in the nation, the Panthers’ pass offense (229.92 yards/game) ranked No. 2 in the Gateway and the Panthers’ total offense ranked No. 7 in the nation (457.31 yards/game) … was a member of the Texas squad in the Texas vs. The Nation all-star game on Feb. 2 in El Paso, Texas … selected to take part in the NFL Combine.
