Wide Outs New Deal Includes 30-Mil Guaranteed

Fitzgerald

The Cardinals and Pro Bowl wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald agreed to a four-year, 40-million-dollar contract extension on Tuesday.  The 24-year-old Fitzgerald still had two years left on his previous deal with the team that would have paid him 30-million dollars.  Fitzgerald’s website said earlier Tuesday that the new deal includes 30-million dollars in guaranteed money, with 15-million guaranteed for the upcoming season.  The new pact also includes a no-trade clause.  Last season, “Fitz” led the NFC with 100 receptions and 1,409 receiving yards.  He also had 10 touchdowns.  The Pittsburgh product has 330 catches for 4,554 yards and 34 scores in four NFL seasons.  He was the third overall selection by the Cardinals in the 2004 draft.
