Depleted Cardinals Face Rough Road Test Against Redskins
Posted by Matt Loede on October 20th, 2007 in News
Decimated at quarterback, the Cardinals hit the road for a game against the Redskins at FedEx Field. Arizona may have to start third-stringer Tim Rattay under center with both Matt Leinart and Kurt Warner ailing. Leinart has a broken collarbone and won’t play again this season, while Warner suffered a torn ligament in his non-throwing elbow in last week’s loss to the Panthers and is questionable for this week. Rattay was thrown into duty last week just days after signing with the team. The ‘Skins come in fresh off a 17-14 setback to the Packers at Lambeau Field. Washington allowed Charles Woodson to return a fumble 57 yards for the go-ahead score in the third quarter and never recovered. The ‘Skins won at Arizona 17-13 in 2005.
