Could Fitzgerald Be on His Way Out in Arizona?

Fitzgerald

Could the Cards be losing one of their top playmakers to free agency?  That is the rumor from Pro Football Talk.com, which states that the team might be losing wide out Larry Fitzgerald to free agency once his rookie contract runs out.  The rumor states that Fitzgerald is not thrilled with new head coach Ken Whisenhunt’s running style of offense that will be taking the air out of the ball quite a bit in Arizona.  So far this season, Fitzgerald is averaging only five catches and 53.5 yards per game, and no touchdowns.  At that pace, he would have just 80 receptions and 856 receiving yards for the season.

Fitzgerald was the number three overall pick in the draft, and since this is his fourth season the story says it would be tough for the team to pay both Fitzgerald and fellow wide out Anquan Boldin.  There are couple of places that would love to have a guy with the talent of Fitzgerald, like the Vikings, Seahawks, Saints, Chiefs and even the Eagles.  Fitzgerald is a native of Minneapolis, so the Vikings would be the possible favorite destination for the talented wide out.
