While no final decision has been made, it appears that Cards linebacker Chike Okeafor will be missing the 2007 season after undergoing surgery to reattach his left biceps tendon. The final decision to put the veteran on IR is expected to be made within the next two weeks. The surgery took place on Tuesday, and head coach Ken Whisenhunt said it went “very well.” The coach commented that “we’re going to evaluate it next week and see where he is.”
Already set to miss the season is offensive lineman Oliver Ross. He also suffered a torn tricep muscle. Ross is looking for a second opinion, and “we should now something in the next day or so,” Whisenhunt said. Both players were injured in the Cards game vs the Raiders over the weekend. The team also announced that the game vs the Texans for this Saturday is sold out, and will be televised on Channel 15 locally.
