Tillman

Find out the truth.  That’s what President Bush said about the friendly fire death of Army Ranger Pat Tillman in Afghanistan.  Tillman was a Cardinals player who joined the Army after 9-11.  Despite the completion of several military investigations, Bush suggested that more may need to be learned about the 2004 tragedy.  The Army originally said Tillman was killed by enemy fire before acknowledging that he was killed by friendly fire.  In a White House news conference, the President said he could not recall the precise moment when he learned that Tillman was killed by friendly fire.  Congress is investigating discrepancies in the military investigations into Tillman’s death.
